B. R.P. Finally

Well after all the hoopla We made the BRP and did 94 miles of it today and as expected most of it in the rain. The air since we entered western Missouri has been so clean smelling and fragrant due to all the blooming wild honeysuckle. We started the BRP at Boone NC and after 94 miles of rain and fog we came out of the mountains in Asheville NC. So Lisa says we are in the furniture capital of the US and I can see why with all the hardwood forests around here. As far as the eye can see there is a sea of trees. We have decided to head to the great Smokey Mountain NP tomorrow and then on to the Tail of the Dragon if we have time. Here are a couple of pics from todays ride:

As you can see it was a little cool and wet but we are still hopeful for tomorrow and beyond. Still drop dead gorgeous and pristine.

By the way I fixed last nights blog which I had a hard time with because of the extremely slow internet connect. The video I shot today was not what I expected so will try again on tomorrows segment of the BRP and hopefully will be able to share.

Weather is supposed to start clearing after tomorrow so we will make our way back towards Nashville and the start of the Natchez Trace which will put us in Natchez Mississippi in a few days and then head home. We are targeting to be home for Fathers day this year because we have missed it the last couple of years due to the length of our ride.
