Logged over 140 Miles Today.

We started out this morning with the goal of making it well into Virginia today but due to the two ferry crossings waiting to load and the rides we lost over 3+ hours just on the boats. Finally made it to Kitty Hawk and went to the National Monument only to get there at 4:30 with only 30 minutes to visit. Made it one of our goals to see the monument and the history so decided to lay over and wait until tomorrow morning.

Here are some shots from today's ride.

This one is what happens after one of those arduous  32 miles rides prior to getting on the ferry

Having some issues with my bike hard starting so when we get to Virginia I am going to have it checked out.

Was significantly cooler on the Outer Banks on Cape Hatteras, finally a little relief.

Met a couple guys on bikes on the ferry yesterday that we talked to for a while they were coming up to Cape Hatteras to a beach home they had rented. Well after stopping at the First Flight NM and found out we could only spend about 30 minutes we decided to regroup and stopped at a Dairy Queen and make a new plan. Well these guys we met were sitting on an upper balcony of the place they were renting and came came over to the DQ to say hi again. Small world

Having to do this post early in the morning because the net link was being over used, anyway we are going to the First Flight NM today and then make a quick exit north.

There is talk of mutiny and leaving me after Niagara Falls and heading home with the hopes of doing the west coast section next year.

I'LL SEE THEM WALK THE PLANK!!!!!!

By the way Larry we shared a small 4 inch pecan log between 3 guys not one of the giant ones.
I got the big one and saved it for later when I was all alone.........WOOOHAAAAA (evil laugh)
