We left London, Canada this morning with an absolutely beautiful morning, even comfortably warm. When we transitioned into Michigan at Port Huron Bridge and headed south west it became progressively more cloudy and windy. When we stopped in Portland, MI it was comfortable with no rain predicted. Less than 15 minutes after getting on the interstate to Muskegon it started to sprinkle. We were headed to the Carr Ferry to transition across Lake Michigan to make the Harley factory in Milwaukee by 4:30 MI time but ran into an incredibly hard rain about 30 miles from Muskegon . Stinky got separated from Jimmy and I due to the spray back from a line of trucks. Jimmy and I took a wrong interchange segment and Stinky continued on thinking we were still in front of him. We had to do a re-take and get back on the west bound route to catch up with him, and unfortunately he missed the exit to Muskegon and ended up about 30 miles from the ferry port. Jimmy and I made the port prior to departure but decided to wait for Stinky. I called him on the cell and he tried to get to the port before the ferry left but was unable to make the time.
Bottom line we are hold up awaiting the 10:15 am departure on the ferry at a place called the Shore Line in in Muskegon.
OHHH look it is that hooker still following us
Even for a cheesy motel it does have a rather nice view.
Will see how things go tomorrow when we hit Milwaukee and the Harley Factory and move into the midwest states
