Yellowstone / Cody

Well we are on the last of a couple legs of our trip and already I miss what is around the next turn in the road. Today we left Lewistown at 7:30 and stopped and had a little something at a local cafe in town. Mello I have to tell you that the sopapillas would be proud of the Carmel rolls we had with a cup of coffee, to die for. Anyway we worked our way south and ended up at the north portal to Yellowstone which worked out to be 189 miles then on into the park where we encountered WIND and a lot of it. We stopped at Mammoth springs first:

Then moved into the park in a counter clockwise loop. We stopped at several places and took pics of course.

Yes that is the Hookers head in the pic

And of course some pics of the local wildlife

More pics of the local Wildlife

A geyser or two

And of course a hot pool or two.

Then the PASTE DUH RESISTAUNCE

OLD FAITHFULL

We are headed out tomorrow with good intentions of making our way as close to home as possible without killing ourselves in the wind. Focus is on Wheatland Wyoming 320 and change. Then home on Wednesday for and early afternoon arrival.

  1. On your way in to Colorado Springs stop in and see some genuine nature. A big fire still burning west of Fort Collins.
